Apply to be a 2016 Conference Moderator
The 4T Virtual Conference is looking for a few UM students interested in working with us to support the 2016 4T Virtual Education Conference, and to take on the role of session facilitators/moderators. Session facilitators partner with one of the K-12 master teachers who’ll be presenting at our conference in May 2016, and work with them through the entire process of training and preparing for their virtual presentation. Student
facilitators also moderate the actual presentation, and receive specialized training in the teaching and learning affordances of the virtual classroom so that they can both assist their teacher/partners in its use, and fully participate in an ongoing dialogue about the impact of the conference experience on their thinking about teaching. Student facilitators will have an extended learning relationship with an experienced teacher through which they will enhance their professional learning network, and learn about virtual, blended and traditional classroom teaching.
Student facilitators will do 15 hours of work between March and May of 2016

You must be a preservice teacher, SI student or certified classroom teacher
You must be able to attend the following 15 hours of training between March 5th and May 14th (in addition to the 4T presentation that you moderate at the Conference in May)

- March 19th 10:00am - 1:00pm EST
- April 16th 10:00am - 1:00pm EST
- May 14th 10:00am - 11:30am EST
- 7 hours on your own (logged practice session)
- May Conference Presentation (your 60 minute presentation during May 21-23 conference)
Moderator Compensation
- A certificate from the University of Michigan School of Education that you have been trained as a moderator for live virtual webinars
- $125 stipend
